Perhaps you can suggest using the special font only on the title page
and in headings? I think this could be a workable compromise. While I
agree that special formatting can be very distracting in body text--and
so should be used judiciously there--a product's technical manual should
render the product name in a way that is compatible with the product's
marketing collateral.
