I have used Claris Works on Mac for small projects and it is wonderfully
integrated, has extremely flexible formatting features, a great spell
checker and thesaurus, and has many many filters for importing text and
graphics. It lacks long document features such as TOC stuff but its
cheap and can't be beat for home use and small business use. And its
cheap!
