Subject:Tech Writing with Ventura From:"Anderson, Keith" <keith_anderson -at- GOOITECH -dot- COM> Date:Mon, 2 Feb 1998 11:51:53 -0600
Hello:
I'm am recommending a publishing tool to our directors this week. In my
business case, I'm evaluating FrameMaker, Ventura, Word, and Quark
(because we already have a license for it). I am not trying to start
another DTP Shootout; the archives are full of them. This is just
background.
Anyway, I'm looking for tech writers who use Corel Ventura to publish
manuals. I am interested in your opinions about the tool. If you have
any FrameMaker experience and can *objectively* compare the two tools, I
would be extremely interested in your comments. I have experience with
both tools, but I've not used Ventura to create big books.
Please reply to me off-line and I will post a summary to the list if
there is enough interest.
