If you know Word97, you can pick up what you need to know with
Framemaker fairly easily. You'll have to get used to some quirks like
the Master Page/Body Page business, like having Paragraph Designer and
Character Designer instead of Format/Styles/Set Styles, and a few
others, but most of the features are common to both package, just in
different places and sometimes implemented in different ways.
I haven't had the problem you're talking about (graphics moving from
place to place), but I do know that Frame won't do that if you use an
Anchored Frame for your pictures.
