My name is Darrin Smith, a Human Resources consultant with R. D. Raab &
Co. We are involved in a search with TSi International Software, an
electronic commerce software developer, for qualified individuals

Responsibilities: This is an excellent opportunity for technical
development professionals who are interested in moving into a
training-oriented role. As an Education specialist in TSI
International's Technology Transfer group, this individual will be
responsible for working in a team environment to develop and deliver
materials and courses to foster technology transfer to and skill
development within TSI and customer organizations.
Responsibilities include:
* Identification of training needs within TSI and its customer
base relating to the Mercator product
* Curriculum and courseware development - including traditional
instructor-led training, computer-based training and web-based training
- and packaging of those courses
* Training and certification of individuals in the TSI
Professional Services organization in the delivery of these courses
* Administration of TSI's skill certification programs, including
Train - the - Trainer programs for TSI partners
* Working with individuals within the TSI to continually improve
their Mercator skills
Qualifications: A strong technical background in the software
industry is most desirable, preferably with some actual technical
development experience. The successful candidate will represent an
in-depth understanding of software development with interest in the
field of technical training. A candidate possessing database experience
or exposure to technologies such as EDI, SAP R/3, MQSeries and/or
messaging would be desired. The candidate must possess good
communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills,
presentation experience and excellent written skills. Must possess a
knack to creatively translate technical information to a diverse crowd
in a logical and understandable manner, while maintaining technical
integrity. Ideal candidate will work autonomously, possessing the
capability to reason through most situations. Previous work with
courseware development technologies such as HTML, Java, Authorware,
Toolbook, etc. is desirable.

Position Title: Documentation Specialist
Responsibilities: This is an excellent opportunity for
technical professionals who would like to transition from a development
role to a more documentation-focused position. As a Documentation
Specialist for TSI International, this individual will be responsible
for providing documentation on new software releases through constant
interaction with the development teams.
Responsibilities include:
* A thorough understanding of the products
* The ability to relate very technical information to a diverse
customer base
* Working closely with the development teams
* Creative and professional presentation of the product
Qualifications: The successful candidate will be required to have had
prior experience in the field of technical documentation. A strong
technical background in the software industry is most desirable,
preferably including actual software development experience. The
candidate must possess good communication skills along with the ability
to work through constructive criticism from the development teams. Must
possess a knack to creatively translate technical information to a
diverse crowd, while maintaining technical integrity. Will favor
technical skills over documentation capabilities, but must prove
competent in both. Ideal candidate will work autonomously, possessing
the capability to reason through most situations. Teamwork and strong
interpersonal skills are critical.
