| Subject: Online Document Reviews
|
|
| Our Tech Pubs department has been told to migrate away from paper
| document reviews to online reviews. In other words, documents would
| be provided online in HTML and reviewers would have to, somehow,
| provide comments without using paper.
I'll be brief. We've tried many variations on the "online review" theme.
None of them has worked--not even a little bit. You can deliver materials
for review in electronic format, but you cannot rely on reviewers to provide
useful and usable feedback online. I suggest that your department "push
back" on this one.
