Symantec's Remote Productivity Solutions Business Unit (RPS) currently
has a three month contract opening for an online content developer to
be filled at its software development site in Toronto, Ontario. The
successful candidate will assist in leading the RPS contribution to
Symantec's Corporate Web site. They will work with a global team and
be prepared to secure the requirements of RPS from its various
internal and external service providers. They will be comfortable
with a variety of current Web design techniques and technologies such
as: HTML, CGI (particularly Perl) and Javascript. Knowledge of other
web technologies will also be an asset. They will be prepared to
serve a global market.
This individual must be proactive in establishing the online needs of
product management on a global scale. They must also possess the
assertiveness, creativity, flexibility, project management and
interpersonal (customer management) skills required to answer those
needs amidst the hectic and changing world of retail software
development. They will be required to work independently.
Minimum requirements:
* Undergraduate University Degree or College Diploma in
Communications, Graphic Design, Computer Science or related field(s) *
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Interactive Web site
development (If possible, include a "portfolio" of URLs you've worked
on and indicate your involvement in each project.)
* Knowledge in the fields of telecommunications, contact management,
remote control, telecommuting and/or mobile computing will be an asset
* Fluency in one or more languages other than English will be an
asset.
