Subject:Tool comparison: Word 7 versus Word 8 (97) From:KIBBUTZ HANNATON <hannaton -at- ACTCOM -dot- CO -dot- IL> Date:Wed, 20 May 1998 14:38:23 +0300
Greetings!
I would like some feedback about Word 7 versus Word 8. This question
is for a friend who does not yet subscribe to this list. Please
answer directly to me (I cope with the abundance of traffic by
subscribing to the digest version of this list).
1. For those who regularly use Word for DTP, which version
seems to be the "standard" in TW (if there is one), 7 or 8?
2. What do you see as the pros and cons for upgrading now to 8?
3. What do you see as the pros and cons for staying with 7?
4. If you recommend upgrading, now or at a later date (perhaps
when more bugs are eliminated)?
5. Am I correct in calling the tool Word 8, or is it supposed to be
called Word 97?
Thanks in advance for helping out with these questions. It seems
to be accepted practice to summarize, so I'll be happy to comply.
