Subject:TechWR-L lunch at STC conference From:R2 Innovations <R2innovations -at- MYNA -dot- COM> Date:Mon, 25 May 1998 20:08:36 +0000
I would like to thank Gen Witt for organizing the Techwr-l lunch at
the recent STC conference in Anaheim. Yes, several of us stood
around holding signs to our foreheads to attract techwr-lrs to our
tables, but it was Gen who really put it all together and arranged
for the tables.
THANK YOU GEN!!!
I know that our table attracted a good discussion regarding
suggestions to members of the list. The following are a summary of
what other techwr-lrs think about member behaviour in general (from a
sampling of 8) --
1. Don't post a message if you can't include a subject line.
2. Job opportunities should _always_ have a location in the subject
line.
3. If responding to a controversial subject, write your post today,
but send it tomorrow
4. Criticize the idea, if you must, but _do not_ criticize the
person with the idea, we are all human and subject to human failings.
Please don't send a rash of flame mail -- my aesbestos suit is at the
dry cleaners -- as I'm just summarizing the feelings of the 8 people
at our table during the techwr-l lucheon. See you all in Cincinnati
