I agree with Tracy - write Whirlpool and compliment them on their
documentation. Also tell them that you noticed that they omitted the
name of the person(s) who created that excellent documentation and you
feel that the writers deserve credit, along with everyone else listed.
On the other hand, I'm wondering if the docs were produced by
contractors. That might explain their omission from the list.

Ah, but neither does the Human Resources contact (who was listed). :-)
I'd tell Whirlpool how much you liked their documentation and mention
that they must have an excellent technical writing staff. In fact, I
think it would be a good idea for any of us to do this whenever
possible. Why not let companies know that customers notice and
appreciate good technical writing?
