Ontario Systems Corporation (OSC) of Muncie Indiana is now accepting resumes
for the position of Technical Writer. We will have two new positions
available in July that we hope to fill with experienced Technical Writers.
The individuals in this position provide documentation for the FACS Systems
Division's products. Clients and employees use this documentation. The
main responsibilities of this position include:
* assisting as a non-technical advocate for the user when interviewing
subject matter experts or project managers to determine documentation
requirements and the scope of the written project
* analyzing and testing product(s) from a user's point of view in
order to identify the requirements of the end user group
* preparing outline and preliminary document structures, writing
documentation, and participating in the documentation review process
* following-up with document due to changes or further needs
* editing the written documentation of peers
Ideal skills include:
* experienced FrameMaker user
* familiarity with Windows NT/PC systems
* experience documenting software products (UNIX based preferred)
