I'm no freelance contractor, but...
$48 an hour minus retirement, equipment costs ($$$), health care,
out-sourcing costs, office space, marketing costs, etc....
It seems to me that this probably drops the 48/hr figure quite a bit.
I don't think it's a stupid topic, but you have to look at it from all sides.
This is just my opinion, I could be wrong.
