May I suggest the following alternative, taken from the standard French
computer term for "hierarchical tree":
arborescence
Although I have not seen it used in English language technical
documents, I find this noun to be elegant, easy to pronounce, and
suitably descriptive.
Just a bit of speculative grist for the mill.
