Subject:Article in Info World From:Colleen Adams <colleen_adams -at- MEDISPAN -dot- COM> Date:Wed, 8 Jul 1998 09:39:35 -0500
Anyone see the July 6th issue of Info World? There's an article called
"Strong Writing Skills Essential for Success, Even in IT." (p.86)
Interestingly enough, it's under the "Enterprise Careers" section, but NO
WHERE is there a mention of Technical Writing as a career... it only
focuses on what they term "IT Professionals" where "Writing ability is
especially important in customer communication. Business
proposals...customer documentation, technical support... all depend on
clear, written communication."
Anyone willing to send an editorial response back to the author of the
article and enlighten her on the aspects of the technical writing
industry??? ;)
