Does anyone know if standards exist for the organization of telephone directories (phone books)? That is, are there national and/or international standards for the alphanumerical organization of phone books?

If so, can you tell me:

I'm particularly interested in:
Canada
US
European countries as far east a Russia
Australia
New Zealand
all countries of the British Isles

and to know if there are standards in:
ISO
ANSI
