System Management ARTS (SMARTS) needs an additional full-time technical
writer. More information about SMARTS is available at http://www.smarts.com.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in English or Technical
Communications or equivalent writing experience, strong written and
verbal communications skills, and experience writing application- and
user-level documentation.
You will work with an off-site writer to develop new manuals for
upcoming products and to maintain and update the current software
documenation. Current software tools include Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe
Acrobat, and various graphics programs, which are used to produce
hardcopy, PDF, HTML documents, and training materials for network and
systems management software.
The ideal candidate has a 3-4 years of experience working as technical
writer with a software development team, including proven experience
developing online help and producing documentation from start to finish.
