MAPICS, Inc., an international manufacturing software company, has
immediate openings for Information Developers in our Atlanta, GA corporate
headquarters. The positions are permanent, onsite only.
The Information Developers will work as part of a team writing online
documentation for a new JAVA based product. The documentation will be
produced using HTML- and JAVA-based development tools. Due to the rapid
development in these areas, prior experience with these tools is a plus,
but is not required.
All successful candidates will be able to write concise, easily
understandable documentation for users of business software products.
The ideal candidates will also be proficient in the following areas:
Developing complex online Help systems in a MS Windows environment
Working in a team environment with an emphasis on harmony, productivity
and quality
Writing to established standards and for international translation
Composing documents through information "chunking" and/or "mapping"
techniques.
Beneficial experience includes:
Creating documentation using FrameMaker, RoboHelp, or Microsoft Word
Creating HTML documentation and/or Web site design
Creating Adobe PDF documentation for online use.
Management/coordination of large scale documentation projects
