screen shots: questions about format and resolution
Subject:screen shots: questions about format and resolution From:Jennifer Zilliac <jennifer -at- SMARTDB -dot- COM> Date:Tue, 21 Jul 1998 17:34:26 -0700
Hi,
I have some questions about screen shots. My boss sent two
tif images to a magazine. I'm not sure how he ended up with
tif, but I know he started out with HyperSnap. A woman at the
magazine requested higher resolution images -- 300 dpi.
I usually take screen shots with HyperSnap and import the
resulting bitmaps at 150 dpi. What is the resolution of the
bitmap itself -- before I import it? (Or maybe it doesn't work
that way -- I don't know much about this.) Is the resolution
affected when you convert to tif?
Is the problem with the resolution occuring at the magazine's end?
Thanks very much in advance for any help you can offer...
