Hello,
Our business analysts use Requisite Pro for our requirements gathering, and
then export to Word in order for the rest of us to have access to the
documents. Requisite pro has a system of numbering business rules so that
the numbers themselves are hidden. Since the application refers to these
numbers when reports are generated, you must search through the document in
order to find out what has been changed, etc. We would like to be able to
create an index of these numbers that refer to the page number where the
rule is located to make it easier to use the document. The problem? The BA's
need the reference numbers to stay hidden so they can import it back into
Requisite Pro, but they want them to print in the document from Word. The
index entries are marked as hidden text, and will be printed as well if
print hidden text is selected, which we don't want. I have tried to come up
with a macro to find and unhide the numbers and then re-hide them, but can't
think of any easy way to do this and still be able to use the macro in the
future - I would have to create one for each instance, which would be a
nightmare. The reference numbers generally appear like this: RQD107, where
the number could be from 1 to some other number. I am at a loss and any
suggestions would be appreciated!
