[Cross-posted to winhlp-L, sorry for any inconvenience, but I'm a bit
desparate]

Hello all,

Background: a context-sensitive multifile WinHelp 4.0 project for a software
product. The tool is DocToHelp 2.0. Deadline is looming & I'd rather not
change tools. Anyway after this we're going to HTML.

Problem 1: Er, Challenge 1. D2H rewrites the context mapping in the HPJ. One
solution is to output the RTF/CNT/HPJ once, and then maintain the latter two
with MS help workshop. But this is a bit time consuming. How do I make it
stop?

Problem 2: D2H creates, whether I want ask it or not, a topic called
"Introduction" after each Heading 2 style. The topic contains jumps to all
the Heading 3 topics that follow, plus any text which was after the Heading
2. How can I stop it doing this? Again I can delete it from the CNT, but
it's hard to maintain.

Problem 3: sometimes I get a GPF when D2H tries to write the RTF. I reboot,
scandisk, the lot, and I end up having to copy out the text from the doc &
recreate the project.

Bonus question: MS Help Workshop keeps inserting the comment "This file is
maintained by HCW. Do not modify this file directly." in the HPJ. Sometimes
it's quicker to edit the HPJ or CNT in notepad. Will something bad happen if
I do this?
