Bridgewater Systems Corporation, a Newbridge Networks affiliate, is
looking for a junior or intermediate technical writer to research and
write the technical user documentation component of Bridgewater
products. This includes installation, system
administration, end-user documentation and release descriptions. The
responsibilities also include creating technical illustrations,
publishing documentation for paper, PDF and online delivery and
assisting in developing training courseware.
Qualifications:
*2+ years experience writing end-user software documentation
*Bachelor degree in English or Journalism OR diploma in technical
writing
Required Skills:
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Comfortable working in Windows NT and UNIX environments
*Knowledge of some or all of the following software:
- Microsoft Office
- FrameMaker
- Adobe Acrobat
- RoboHelp
- Adobe Illustrator
*Proven ability to work closely with R&D teams
*Proven ability to work on several projects at once
Assets:
*Experience in telecommunications industry
*Knowledge of HTML or SGML
*Experience with technical illustration and graphic design
*Experience developing training courseware
