Subject:Mac to PC - then back to Mac? From:Paul Carr <solas -at- JPS -dot- NET> Date:Sat, 15 Aug 1998 05:35:19 -0000
At the company I work for we began the slow process of shifting from Mac
to PC, thanks to an edict from on high. It was certainly not the choice
of the people who do the actual work.
(In the meantime, we also made the switch from word to Frame, a choice I
think few regret. We have also switched to Canvas for its usability and
vector graphics.)
However, we have been wasting many hours trying to resolve graphics
issues apparently having to do with the fact that we are using PCs. There
are some problems with going from Canvas to Frame, as well as problems
with converting graphics in Frame docs into PDF.
So we are considering going back to the platform that actually worked in
the first place: Mac.
Does anyone have any comment on this? Does anyone have similar stories,
or are there people that have made the move back to Mac?
I am curious to hear what other people's experiences might be.
