Barbara Karst-Sabin was having trouble
getting new visio images to load from web
site and was wondering if anyone had any
insight.
Suggestion:
Sounds like the image was loading from your
local cache... The default for most browsers
is to compare previously visited web pages
against local cache first. That way, the next
time you visit the site, it loads faster. Two
things that may help.
First thing after uploading new graphic, web
page, or whatever when using Netscape
Communicator, click Reload. This will force
Netscape to completely reload the site,
instead of reading from local cache.
Another option is to change default setting
for Netscape 4 cache to compare site every
time. This forces a reload. To change default
cache setting:
1. Select Edit-->Preferences
2. In the Category list, click Advanced, then
Cache.
3. In the Cache dialog box, select Every Time
option.
4. Click OK.
For IE 4, View-->Refresh will force a reload
of a site. Also to change IE default setting:
1. Select View-->Internet Options
2. On the General tab, click Settings, then
select Every time or Every Visit to the
page.
3. Click OK
Hope this helps
