Trainee Technical Author
A vacancy exists at British Aerospace Australia at Meadowbank in Sydney
for a Trainee Technical Author to work in Technical Publications.
The duties will include continuing work on BRF OnDoc files in support of
the ATE/AITEST. Developing OnDoc Module Solutions, source and input
technical data, create graphic files and textual procedures.
The Trainee will be supervised and trained by a senior Technical Author.
They must be keen to pursue a career in technical documentation/writing
and associated fields.
Applicants must be computer literate in a dos/windows environment. They
must show attention to detail (particularly technical engineering data)
with an analytical approach to solutions. Technical aptitude (or
experience in an engineering environment) is desirable. Good written
skills are essential.
Applicants must be willing to be trained and supervised in a new
software. Previous exposure to desktop publishing, autocad packages,
technical/electronic qualification is desirable. Some illustration
skills would be helpful.
Minimum education - HSC or equivalent.
