This is an old problem that I've long since narrowed down to a fault in
FrameMaker. I've searched both the Framers and techwr-l archives to no
avail. (There was an issue posted to the Framers archives but I couldn't
find any solutions.)
When I print ten copies of a Frame file, the file that gets sent to the
printer is ten times larger than it would be if I printed only one copy.
Also, it takes about ten times as long to generate on my PC.
My workaround is to select one copy in the Frame print dialog and ten
copies in the Windows Printers control panel. It's clunky, but it works.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
I receive the list digest, so please respond to me directly. If enough
people express interest, I'll post a summary of the best responses.
