Technical Writer
Reporting to the Manager of Quality of Assurance, as a Technical Writer you
will be responsible for designing, producing and updating all user and
technical documentation (manuals, online help, installation, release, etc.).
You will acquire detailed knowledge of InSystems products to help you in
this process. You will also document and co-ordinate the review and approval
of all documentation, as well as co-ordinate the printing and approval of
final documentation. You will prepare a writing style guide to set standards
and consistency in the presentation and terminology for all documentation,
and participate in the review of screen design for consistency of
terminology and processes. You bring to InSystems a minimum of 4 years
experience in technical writing for software, the ability to write help
files, the ability to assist with software testing, and the ability to work
in a dynamic team environment.
Tool knowledge includes: MS Word, FrameMaker, RoboHelp, and HTML. Knowledge
of software development life cycle processes, knowledge management issues,
document management systems, databases and client/server architecture an
asset.
