Whatever else happens with this, it looks like you'll be back on the job
market soon. It's also apparent that you (like many of us) let things get to
you and build up (you were clearly pretty upset long before deleting any
documents.)
What you have to think about, now or when you actually start interviewing, is
how to minimize all the conflict inherent in this incident when a future
potential employer asks, "So why did you leave Groin-Grinder Inc.?" For a
long time, you're going to have a very human need to express your anger over
this tale to any ear that will hear. Start realizing NOW that a job interview
will NOT be the place to let this outl And start thinking of ways to
'package' this in that context.
