Subject:Re: Word to FrameMaker conversion From:Peter Gold <peter -at- HIGHSOFT -dot- COM> Date:Fri, 23 Oct 1998 13:28:57 -0600
To simplify the creation of style namess in FrameMaker documents to
match those in a Word document, open the Word file in FrameMaker. The
style names will be there, along with the content.
The conversion filters included with the FrameMaker 5.5.6 update are
improved over earlier FrameMaker releases, so you may want to upgrade
for this benefit.
Also, look at the instructions for File > Utility > Create and Apply
Formats in the user manual or in Help, to see how this nifty tool,
available in all FrameMaker 5.5.x versions, can help manage format
issues.
