Just to be nitpicky... techwr-l is not moderated. On a moderated list,
the moderator reads every post and decides whether to release it to the
entire list. Eric doesn't do that. Many people think he does (I did too,
when I first subscribed) and therefore wonder why he "lets some posts
through." Actually, all of his "moderating" is done after the fact, when
he tries to stop off-topic threads and politely reminds the posters (and
yes, I *would* know) not to do it again. The only thing moderating us is
our own common sense, which unfortunately some people seem to be
seriously lacking. If you honestly have nothing better to do than use
this list to talk about how crappy this list is, while simultaneously
going to great lengths to *stay* on this list, might I respectfully
suggest that you get a life? Take your toys and go home.
