I think part of the discussion was based on cutting down on the shear volume
of messages on the list. This discussion (by my count) stirred up 49
replies, including this one! How's that for cutting down?
There was talk about us, "...accepting Eric's rules for the list...". Come
on! You've got to be kidding, aren't you? It's his list and *he* makes the
rules guys (non-sexist meaning of word). So let's just do it and stop doing
what I am doing right now, which is wasting bandwidth.
