An overwelming response to the request for your opinion

Thank you so, so much to all of the folks who have taken the time to put
thoughts to e-mail (doesn't quite have the same ring as "put thoughts to
paper," does it?) to answer the question of how an aspiring technical
communicator goes about landing that first job. I am really overwhelmed
by how generous you all are in sharing your time and thoughts. Thank
you again.
Additionally, I just want to apologize to anyone that I offended in
either the way I asked the question (it was a little to-the-point, I am
afraid) or in the fact that I asked in the first instance. (I received
one message pointing this out to me.) I neither meant to be curt nor to
give the impression that I was asking the list members to do all the
work for me; I am in the process of searching the techwr-l archive and
looking at some websites as well as doing non-electronic research.
Finally, because the responses were so terrific, I am going to summarize
them and post them to the list early next week. Thanks again.
