Need Help: Internet links in Robo sometimes not working
Subject:Need Help: Internet links in Robo sometimes not working From:Anne Halsey <Wrdfinesse -at- AOL -dot- COM> Date:Thu, 12 Nov 1998 18:36:27 EST
Hi, all.
I've posted this query to Blue-Sky technical support twice and
received no response. So, I'm yet again taking advantage of
the expertise on this list.
I'm creating Windoze 3.x-compatible WinHelp systems using
Robo6/Office 97 in a Windows NT4 environment (confused yet?).
I'm using Robo's internet macro to create jumps to sites on our
corporate intranet. This macro launches the exec "setbrows.exe"
to go out, find your default web browser, open it, and access the
specified URL.
The exec (setbrows.exe) reputedly supports Netscape, IE, and
Mosaic.
Here's the problem. 99% of the time, this all works seamlessly.
Every now and again, however, the intranet jump fails. This only
happens on machines where IE is the only browser.
I've queried Blue-Sky about whether the version of setbrows.exe they
supply with Robo has any version limitations related to the supported
browsers. No response.
My question ... has anyone out there run into this?
I'd appreciate any help ... with Blue-Sky not cooperating, I'm totally
stumped on this one.
Regards,
Anne Halsey
