TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I work for a financial clearinghouse in Jersey City (directly across the
Hudson River from Manhattan for those of you unfamiliar with the area),
and we currently have three positions available for tech writers. I'm
very happy to say that our emphasis is on writing skills--not tools--and
we are open to both beginning and experienced tech writers. We would
obviously prefer someone with good Word and RoboHelp knowledge, but it
is not absolutely necessary. This is a great opportunity for someone
looking to learn the financial industry and learn/improve online skills.
I can't give a salary range, because it varies so much depending on
experience, but the company does offer nice benefits, bonuses, and
profit sharing.
If you have any questions or are interested in a position, please reply

Sarah
