Description
1.Work cooperatively as a team member to help research, write, edit,
update, and maintain documentation in multiple formats.
2.Manage priorities and workflow to deliver accurate, complete
documentation on schedule.
3.Write appropriately for multiple audiences, such as end-users and
administrators.
4.Participate in developing documentation style guide and procedures.
5.Learn new tools, Intranet concepts, and methods as needed.
6.Perform other duties as required by manager.
Skills
Proficiency in FrameMaker and RoboHelp
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to gather, understand, and organize technical information
into concise user documentation
Thorough understanding of the technical documentation process
Ability to multi-task in a changing environment
Experience
Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality materials for
technical and end-user audiences.
Knowledge of latest PC-based desktop publishing software,
preferably FrameMaker.
Strong technical background in one or more of the following:
client/server, Internet, relational databases.
Excellent writing, editing, and interpersonal skills and ability to
work closely with software engineers in a fast-paced environment.
Training, testing and/or product support experience is beneficial.
Familiarity with issues and practices within the healthcare
industry preferred.
Education
Undergraduate degree in English or Technical Writing
3-5 years' experience in a technical or writing discipline or
training in technical writing or related field
