Subject:Re: Problem reading pdf file From:Bill Burns <BillDB -at- ILE -dot- COM> Date:Tue, 24 Nov 1998 10:15:58 -0700
Jennifer,
A colleague created a pdf file of a 5-
page Word97 document using PDF Writer but only sees blank
pages when using Acrobat Reader (version3.0). It prints fine. And
he also sees blank pages of the same file when I create the pdf on
my machine and email it to him. He hasn't had this problem with
other files he's created. Any ideas what's happening? Thanks.
Is your colleague looking at the PDF using the Acrobat plugin with Internet
Explorer 4.0? There's a known bug that exhibits just this sort of behavior.
Sometimes, redistilling the files helps (i.e., use a PS driver and Acrobat
Distiller instead of PDF Writer). Check the Adobe support database. It's a
documented issue.
