Why we do this
I do technical writing because I like it. The
work itself holds much more inherent interest for me than writing software,
which I used to do, and I still get to stay close to the technical matters that
I love delving into. It's wonderfully fortunate that what I really like to do
also pays well, is a profession full of incredibly bright and interesting
people, and at its best, actually provides real help to people.
Besides, it's a great justification for having a ridiculous
number of computers.
