Subject:Summary (Re: Alternative to Front Page?) From:John Nesbit <janesbit -at- HOTMAIL -dot- COM> Date:Fri, 4 Dec 1998 13:29:22 PST
By request am posting a summary of responses to the best Web Authoring
tool out there--besides the public posts to TechWriter, it includes
private emails and emails I got from similar post to another list that
has a number of web designers.
The general concensus seems to favor--actually by a large margin--
Dreamweaver.
Good marks also good to Homesite, which is also bundled with
Dreamweaver, so I'm pushing my supervisor to get the Tech Writers and
Web Designer's #1.
Haven't run into anyone who really likes Front Page, so Microsoft
needs to totally re-work this software. BTW, a humorous aside -- we were
playing with words one day and one of the writers remarked how he liked
the word "smarmy". Guess what you get when you put in: http://www.smarmy.com
