Hi everyone. I'm curious to know: what is the difference between "technical
writing" and "technical editing"? In the latest STC journel, there is a
review of the book "Pocket Guide to Technical Writing" by Gary Michael
Smith. On page 562 it states that "Pfeiffer could have taken the opportunity
to make some distinction between technical writing and technical editing.
This would help the reader understand that these are two separate career
paths."
And also, what are the "must have" books for someone (such as myself)
wanting to make a career out of technical editing?
Thanks for your attention!
Regards from,
Harvey
