Position Description
Design, develop, edit, and maintain technical and user-based documentation
for a variety of media and audiences. Assist in the development and
maintenance of documentation standards/procedures. Produce user guides,
procedure manuals, online help systems, Internet, and Intranet pages.
Research and analyze new business processes and opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
Mid-Senior Level Position(s)
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and
experience
* 2-5 years hands-on technical writing experience in the software
industry
* Knowledgeable in basic technical writing and information mapping
principles
* Experience designing, developing, and maintaining user guides and
Windows-based Help
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, RoboHelp, and
Microsoft FrontPage
* Experience designing and developing HTML Help and other Web-based
documentation
* Experience designing and developing application demos
* Knowledgeable in HTML
* Knowledgeable in basic programming and database concepts
Entry Level Position(s)
* 2-4 year degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
* 1-2 years hands-on technical writing experience in the software
industry
* Knowledgeable in basic technical writing and information mapping
principles
* Experience designing, developing, and maintaining user documentation
