Subject:EU Data Directive on Privacy From:"Kirk R. St.Amant" <stamankr -at- JMU -dot- EDU> Date:Sat, 26 Dec 1998 10:31:47 -0500
I am a graduate student studying the effects of the European Union's new
Data Directive on Privacy on various foreign companies (including American
companies). Is anyone out there working for a company that has to deal
with the European Union (EU)'s new Data Directive concerning Privacy? If
so, how does your company feel about this new directive, and what is your
company doing to meet the standards of this directive in order to continue
sharing electronic informaiton with EU member states?
