[Fwd: FW: thoughts on color]
--- Begin Message ---Hi,
I'm sending this to you personally, because it's not really list
material. I once participated in a study at a University to evaluate
whether students learned more/better with computer-based material or
more traditional paper. Unfortunately, the study was set up so that the
computer-based portion was multiple choice with no way to make an answer
correction, i.e., if you inadvertently hit the wrong key, that was your
answer, no matter what you might have intended.
Then the paper material was a standard "essay test" format. Apples and
oranges!!! How could they expect to get an accurate assessment from
that? And I'd hate to tell you how much my company put into the study
-- must have financed the doctoral candidate's degree program!
Ergo, I'm always a little leery of studies of this kind unless I've had
a chance to study the whole set up. That's not to say that I disagree
with the findings you mention. Just my little quirk.
