I said I'd post the resolution of the problem
our training department had with linking to
PowerPoint slides in a Word document, but we
didn't find one. None of the posted suggestions
helped (although I really appreciated getting
them).
Someone on the training team decided that we
should use Quark to avoid the problems of
linking PowerPoint slides in Word. That has its
own set of difficulties... Quark apparently
doesn't handle tables well, and I added a lot
of them to the training materials. (They made
things much more readable.)
