Documentation Specialist is a title we use as well... it's the entry-level
position we hire college grads into - a stepping stone and testing ground
to see if they can handle being an Associate Technical Writer (the next
step up). Then there's Technical Writer, then Senior Technical Writer, and
then it's off to either team leader or management land!
The duties of the doc specialist include proofing formatting, writing very
small bits and pieces, learning the tools of our trade... basically it's
boot camp.
