TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
jj> I would be curious to find out if there are any other listservs
jj> that technical writers subscribe to.
I manage a listserv at NC State University entitled TechComm (send a
one-line message without a Subject header to listserv -at- listserv -dot- ncsu -dot- edu:
subscribe techcomm your-1st-name your-last-name). The listserv is less a
discussion list than it is a mechanism for posting conference calls for
papers, announcing upcoming presentations, and distributing interesting
technical communication job opportunities; at the moment there are about
150 subscribers, over half of them from the Research Triangle Park area.
Best, Brad.
