In my research on the same, seems most DMS systems are far too expensive for
most small- to medium-sized companies. We are researching "jury-rigging" a
system using PVCS tracker for MS office docs-including specs, user and systems
documentation. You may also be able to do the same kind of thing with MS
Visual Source Safe.
