Subject:Convert from PowerPoint to Word From:Linda Castellani <linda -at- GRIC -dot- COM> Date:Wed, 27 Jan 1999 13:09:25 -0800
I created a cover for a document in PowerPoint. Why? Because we wanted to
use the official presentation background as the basis for the cover
graphic. I added text and a graphic and it looks fabulous. But, it's in
PowerPoint, and my document is in Word. I've tried exporting it as a JPG,
but when I try to insert the resulting graphic in the Word document, it's
the wrong size and it can't be resized properly because the aspect ratio
seems to have changed. Very strange. I've tried saving it as HTML, but
PowerPoint puts it in some kind of wrapper, so that the result is still a
PowerPoint presentation, not a document. And it's not possible to save it
as a Word file.
I could print this out separately for the version going to the printer, but
I can't do that for the pdf version. I'm okay with not having the cover in
the pdf version, but I'd like it to be in the document if there is a way to
do it.
Have any of you successfully done what I'm attempting to do, and if so,
would you please tell me how you did it?
And, of course, release of the product is Monday so I need to finish
everything by Friday night so I don't have to work the weekend!
Much gratitude in advance,
Linda
