This is the boat that I'm in. However, being able to write documentation
AND write code usually means that at some point you'll be required to do
both simultaneously. I have over five years experience in the software
"biz" both as a writer and a programmer in the Pacific Northwest but I'm
not the highest paid programmer/writer in my group by a long shot. I
wouldn't say I'm writing my own ticket.

Maybe it's time to determine my relative value in the tech writing
market...any headhunters out there? :)

Peter Taylor.
