WOW! This list is high volume! I just joined and love it. I write user
guides for software and telecommunication equipment at a small company near
Dallas, TX called DTI. I love my job. And yes, I came back after a
three-month maternity leave. I think it surprised my boss. He is a bit old
fashioned.
I received my BBA in Marketing Management from UNT. Luckily, they made me
take a few tech writing classes. Little did I know that I would use what I
learned. Image that!
I first began my writing career with Excel Telecommunications in the late
80s. I started out as a computer operator then soon advanced to their
technical trainer. When I decided that I like writing more they stuck me
into a small office 12 X 12 with 3 other tech writers. I left them when I
couldn't breath anymore.
If anyone is from Excel, please e-mail me privately. I'd love to catch up on
how Kenny Troutt, Tami Wilson, Gary Breed, is Todd Wallace is doing.
