Product Communications Position
Sokkia Technology, Inc., a world leader in developing software for the surveying industry, has an opening for an entry-level Product Communications Specialist. This position requires strong technical writing capabilities, however experience with writing marketing-oriented materials will benefit. Ideal candidates will have a BS in English, Journalism or Technical Communications. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word or FrameMaker. Experience with technical writing, marketing communications, on-line help development, multimedia and/or drawing packages is a plus. Candidate should be familiar with the use of Windows-type software in general, but does not need an in-depth background in computers or software development.
The Product Communications Specialist?s primary responsibilities are developing product communications, such as comprehensive software manuals, on-line help systems, marketing materials and training materials. Additional responsibilities include contributing to a biweekly technical newsletter, web pages, as well as assisting a Q/A team with reviewing new and upgraded software products.
