I don't know whether this exists in Word for the Mac, but if
it does, it should solve your problem. This is how it works
on the PC platform.
On the Table menu, select Cell Height and Width. In this
dialog box, UNselect Allow row to break across pages. For
some reason, MS thought that breaking paragraphs in table
cells would be the desired default.
When you turn that option off, your tables will break only
between cells.
